concerned , A DVT is different from an embolism in that the blockage is surrounded by the vein and not an artery.
Therefore blood can flow into the upper limb but cant flow out as fast due to the blockage.
The feeler can appear red and feel heat up to the touch. You may experience a loss of function...that you can't move it the same and it can be VERY aching.
You should go to your doc ASAP for a prescription of a blood thinner approaching warfarin.
In the meantime you can take a small dose of aspirin once per morning until you can get an appointment...Usually 75mgs.
