Toe swelling?

It is swollen on the bottom edge of my big toe staple and it doesn't look like an ingrown toenail. I am freshly wondering what else it might be. Thanks Gout affects the joint not the fastener so I dont think it would be that. You own possibly just nick the cuticle and its got a small rip in it which have been rubbing against a shoe or something. Steep your foot surrounded by warm saline water, going on for a cup full of normal table saline for 5 minutes every day to preserve it clean. If it doesnt clear up and you thnk in that is infection there (if its red, swollen and hot to touch) budge see your doctor.
