I had my tonsills removed yesterday, 30 hrs ago. When will this horrible misery go away? Any usefull tips? My boyfriend have his removed a few years ago at age 25 and it was awful to keep under surveillance him go throw it. Make sure you stay over the pain and filch your medication as directed by your doctor for the first few days at least. No diary...rime cream, milk shakes etc as they cause a build up within phlem and hinder the beneficial process. Drink plenty of water and gatorade to replenish electrolytes. Popsicles are fine and applesauce is fitting too. Do not drink out of a straw, just drink generally. Buy some liquid tylenol, regular and pm and save it in the fridge. Take it along near your pain medication and it help a lot. Just do not exceed 1000mgs of tylenol within one dose and 3000mgs in soon. Your prescription pain medication may own tylenol in it too, so read the sticky label carefully. When you start to get the impression like you can drink slightly more solid foods, chicken with overcooked mushy rice is a great source of protein and give you energy. You should grain much better in 7-10 days and contained by 2 weeks you will be all better. Feel better!
cart your painkillers everytime you can, try eating cold foods resembling yogurt as they kind of soothe your throat, also drink lots cos consequently it doesnt get too dry. the backache will settle in another sunshine or so.
